Recently I was looking for lip and cheek tints available in India and stumbled upon our home brand Nykaa’s Lip and Cheek colour. Although these were launched a year back but I did not try any of the shades earlier.So here is a quick review of that.

Price: 525 INR (but obviously you are going to get a pretty good discount)

Now, the shade I picked up is Midge which is pretty close to brick shade i.e, reddish brown and very suitable for all the skin tone.

It comes in a cylindrical plastic tube packaging with a pointed applicator.The tube itself is an indicator of the shade.So it is pretty easy to spot this one for a hoarder like me who has a box full of lipsticks.

When I first tested it on my lips it glided through very smoothly almost like butter but it took a lot of time to dry.Even in the swatch you can see the shine but the plus point was once it dries up the matte finish comes and the lips do not feel too dry which is problem for a lot of matte lipsticks.Also, when you apply it on your cheeks it blends smoothly.In fact I liked it more like a cheek tint or a cream blush than as a lip tint.Specially this shade gives a very warm naturally flushed look to the cheeks.

So the positives for me were

• We can use it both as a lip and a cheek tint.
• Blends easily like butter
• stays for 3-4 hours which is decent
• pretty much affordable given the other options available in the market
• Specifically I loved the shade Midge and the warm effect it gives to my cheeks

Now the little problematic parts were

• Takes time to dry up
• Not exactly smudge proof
• Staying power could have been better

Overall I will give it score of 3 out of 5.Hope you found this review helpful 🙂
